Hi Billy:

sorry I have not answered to you before, I have been extremely busy. I will build you a page on my website tomorrow. By the way, below is what I e mailed to Bea Fogelman regarding the 16th October in New York.
Best regards
Gene

Hello Bea,

As you know I do not often contribute stories to the network concerning work. This beautiful story I could not miss sharing with you and the  network. I have long been proud to be a part of the network but now it is even more evident why more people should be.

On 16 October I had a show booked for the launch of Terry Oneil's new book on Sinatra with many previously unreleased photographs of him. Needless to say how important this job was to myself and my company.

Due to a paperwork mistake by the US Embassy in London, the artiste I had dispatched to the event was unable to enter the country. Now I have a major problem I have less than five hours to locate a suitable replacement and have him in place to do the event.

The first option that came to mind was with my long standing associate Ron Bartels at Lookalike-USA.com also a member of the network. I went to him knowing I would have a very honest assesment of the talents and capabilities of any artiste he would recommend. He referred me to Billy Kay at sinatraclone.com sinatraclone@aol.com. Since we have often shared client information when one could serve the client better than the other, we have a deep regard for each other. In times of crisis there is no substitute for friendship and professional regard. I find working with Ron always a sheer pleasure.

Since Billy Kay is a professional and having never worked with me before, I can understand his initial reluctance to undertake such a last minute assignment of this proportion. I explained to him how I knew Ron Bartels and then ask if he knew about the network. I then asked if he was familiar with the Entertainment Network? He said he was not only familiar but a proud member of the network. I expained that I was a member and supporter of the network. From that point on we worked together as though we were old friends. He contacted his sound man and was sure he could do the event and I then dispatched a limo company with which he was familiar to enable him to get to the event quickly.

The client was suitably impressed with our ability to work together to achieve such a result in the face of such adversity, the guests never knew there had been a problem and through the sheer talent and professionalism of Billy Kay the night was a complete success.

Just one more example of how, though located on different continents people who can associate through such a professional organization such as the network can achieve success in terribly adverse conditions. It should also serve as an example of how artisyes need to understand the relationships developed by agents and talents can work on behalf of everyone. I now have a new artiste to try and get work for in the USA knowing that his work will be completed to the highest level.

Best regards

Gene
